TOURS & COMPLIMENTARY ACCLIMATION DAY VISITS
At Sandhills Pet Resort our
staff of trained pet care providers do understand there
may be some anxious feelings during your pet's time away
from home. We wish to make sure the place you
choose makes both you and your pet as comfortable as
possible.
Facility
Tours: We are very proud of our facility,
and we have many prospective and regular clients each week
who wish to tour the facility. There’s really no way for
us to show you where your pet will stay without taking
you throughout the entire facility, not just allowing
you to peek through a window. We have found this is very
stimulating and sometimes distressing to our guests.
The more guests we have and the more frequent the tours,
the more stimulating it can be. We want to keep your
pet’s vacation as relaxing and stress free as possible.
Imagine how you would feel if every few minutes your
hotel brought strangers in to tour your hotel room? Not
very relaxing at all!
Over stimulation
can be very detrimental to the pets and because their
welfare is our highest priority we must limit our tours
to the slowest hours and days and never during holidays
when we are completely booked. We hope you can respect
our guest’s needs. But, if it is not possible for you to
tour during our offered times, we will make an effort to
schedule a tour which will accommodate your schedule.
Sandhills will be
one of the first to tell people to "go and look
before you board". We think you should go and
see where your pet will be boarded and meet the people
who will be taking care of your pet. However, today,
unlike twenty years ago, most commercial facilities are
kept to high standards of cleanliness. What you are
really looking at are different types of facilities that
offer different kinds of accommodations, policies, rates
and care. You can see and read about them on the web, in
brochures or photos and you can certainly get references
from friends and other pet care professionals.
Complimentary
Acclimation Day
Visit For First Time Boarders We will be
happy to schedule a complimentary day trial visit on any
Tuesday or Wednesday (except during holiday time
periods) to associate your pet with our facility.
During this day visit stay your pet will be monitored
and our staff can make recommendations based on their
reactions to the trial visit.
Day Visits are from 8:30am - 11:30am or from
2:30pm - 5:30pm, on a Tuesday or Wednesday
Only.
